And how willing do you think Microsoft is to allow Firefox developers a peek into the memory mangement/cleanup portion of the Windows OS?
IE seems to work a litle better in the memory management stuff.
I have crashed the windows file manager a few times by opening up a few windows that have tens of thousands of thumbnail pictures. It seems to have a problem with releasing memory as well.
