When I did my middle management stint at Sonic, the ice machine would break down like clockwork around the first of Summer--it was mentioned during the tour even. You would not believe despite the regularity of the event--and the fact that it's just ice--the number of complaints we fielded until we got them back. Some of them were really, really mean about it too.
