What is it?

Odin sphere is a side scrolling, 2D action RPG developed by Vanillaware, published by Atlus. It is the spiritual sequel to the Japanese only Saturn game, Princess Crown.

Features:
-Luscious 2D Sprites and Animation
-Multiple difficulty modes & 5 different character scenarios add replay value.
-Action Gameplay coupled with RPG elements like leveling and being story-driven.
-Dual Voice Options: All dialogue is fully voiced in both English & Japanese

Apparently, you level by capturing enemy souls, which may or may not be used to grow fruit which you eat.

This is the first game I've preordered in several years. I'm a big fan of both RPGs and 2D sprite based games. And like many new PS2 games these days, its retail price is 39.99.
