I do like VLC, but it is lacking that playlist feature. Maybe there is something else, maybe even opening up every file in it's own Quicktime window would work. That is if Quicktime will play all of these files. I should try it out right now.
And I don't believe there is a Microsoft Money Mac edition anymore. I have the CD here, but haven't tried it out yet. I've been using it for 3 years on Windows just fine. Same with the GPS thing, I would get so lost if I didn't have the turn by turn directions.
I think this is the better GIMP version (it's for Mac)

For the tablet PC pen, it would be something like this:

Quicktime and iTunes will work on Macs without a doubt. But the Linux support is very minimal.
The buttons will adjust the brightness of the laptop monitor, rotate the screen, lock the screen, and put up a on-screen keyboard. I wouldn't need them to work, and I think the brightness one doesn't care which operating system I have.
ethereal is the invasion of privacy program. WEP passwords are useless and prevent me from getting on-line to this site.
For GetRight, these two look better. I'll have to pick which one I like more. The one you linked to was released in 1997.

I didn't know iPhoto was free. I thought you had to buy iLife for $79.
For the cell phone:

But my Verizon global phone isn't supported by either. I thought I saw one other program that I wanted to try as well a few months ago.
I'm trying to hold off on buying a new laptop for a few more years. Or at least until Apple comes out with their new OS 10.5.
