The Departed--I'm not convinced it was Oscar worthy, but then again, neither was Titanic. It was Okay for its genre, but there were big holes in the plot and the characters. On the upside, I am now convinced Leonardo DiCaprio can act.
7/10.
Volver--if you love this director, you'll love this film. Over the top plot line, men are of no consequence except that they're shite and women bond all over the place.
Penelope Cruz can act in Spanish, not so much in English.
