In an ideal world, no one would care about what other people think. The reality is that people do: people care about their breasts, their penis, and yes, their vagina. They worry that things are too small, too big, too wrinkly, too whatever. There are
many women who worry that their vagina is ugly, or maybe they think that vagina's in general are ugly. This may be due to things they've been told or messages they've simply picked up from society.
Of course everyone is entitled to have a preference. There's nothing wrong with preferring one aesthetic look over another. Still, when expressing that preference, one ought to at least try to keep in mind what they're implying. To use an example from this thread, saying that you prefer vaginas "clean and streamlined" implies that vaginas with larger labia are unclean, whether or not this is something you actually believe. That's about as ridiculous as implying a wrinkly scrotum is unclean. And, as we can now see, when people grow up being told that there is a "proper" way for a vagina to look and that other appearances are "used" or "unclean," you're going to hit a nerve if you're not thoughtful when expressing your opinion.
In short, enjoy whatever the hell you want. But when expressing that opinion, keep in mind what you're actually saying, and that you may be talking to someone who fits the subject.
