I watched two movies last night...

Notes On a Scandal - 5/10
While this was a well-made and exceedingly well-acted film, I just couldn't latch onto it. I didn't like any of the characters and the storyline was excruciating. I don't think it could figure out whether it wanted to be a serious drama or a thriller. *shrug*...just didn't work for me.

Secretary - 6/10
I can't say this was a *good* movie, but...

The best spanking scene I've ever seen in a film that didn't come out of the little back room in the video store.
I related to it immensely for personal reasons, but the film buff in me knows that it was an average film in all respects.
