Lost in thought,
once again I'm dreaming,
of what once was,
and can never be again.

Why is it that I'm stuck,
thinking of times from before,
when I should be looking ahead,
to what will eventually come?

Is it that I've forgotten,
or is it that I refuse to forget,
even the bad memories I cherish,
as they've shaped who I am?

Choices were made,
what's done is done,
live and learn and live again,
I will continue to dream.

Slow down!
I swear...how am I to keep up?
Time continues to speed along,
I haven't a moment to think!

Where did 1000 Yesterdays go?
I must say good bye to them!
Am I forgetting to say Hello,
when Tomorrow slips past me?
