Carno, If someone called my wife a tramp in my presence? I would, otherwise I would be a coward like most of the people on the internet Am I wrong for reacting to some clod insulting my wife in public? Hell, if I am, I am proud to be wrong in that case.
It is clear a lot of you missed the point and that may have been my fault and it also may have come from you trying to score cheap points off the new guy (nice pile on from the crew, amazing that 7 people have to say the same thing, does that give it more value somehow?) or a combo of both. Here is the deal, you can have your opinion, you can feel tattoos are nasty on women, make them ugly, use whatever name you wish internally. But none of you get to decide if it is right or wrong, the second you choose to do so, and many of you have openly condemned it, you are wrong. So many of you have voiced your views as being right, rather than as just being your valueless individual opinions that you negate any value in your words.
My opinion is that no one has the right to tell another what to do with their body, but that is because I am sane. It is right? Well, unfortunately it is not, because humans are control freaks and cannot grow beyond the do what I want you to do stage socially. The only time you get to make any calls on another human being is when they violate your space, your home, etc. when they do something that lacks common courtesy towards you. But the amazingly rightwingish, conservative xtian uptight and anal view of "tattoos bad" is silly. They may be wrong for you, but to attack others for having them is ignorance, intolerance and arrogance.
