You haven't really spelled out the timeline, but if they released you immediately after waking up from being under for an unusually long time...that sounds a bit irresponsible (aka 'cost conscious') to me. I don't know if I would sue over it, especially if there was no lasting damage, but I've heard a lot of stories about how hospitals are cutting costs by released patients as early as possible. I think it's inevitable that cases where the patient was released too early will increase.
