A friend's not lost if their indeed
A love's not crossed if we've the seed
We wander through this field of sand
Looking for a place to land
The reason things are'nt always clear
Is part of why we landed here
We struggle with the ways of earth
Throughout our lives, it starts at birth
And when we've found a true friend to be
Sometimes it's hard to truly see
Someone that's near to my hard heart
I hope that times won't make us part
We laughed, we cried, we learned a bit
Through tough times I don't want to quit
A friend is someone I hold dear
In my heart forever near
This life don't give us many souls
