Doctors and hospitals are in business to save lives. Pharmaceutical companies are not. They are in business to make money. Why do you think so much money has gone into medication that gives old men stiffies, while Aids and cancer medication plods along? There is more money in treating the symptoms than there is in finding the cure. Ethical? Probably not. But it's all about the benjamins.
