It was just a dream. But we were arguing when our car stranded us on that road. Stupid man insisted taking a small car where a 4x4 truck should go, and got us stuck. Out in the woods on a deserted muddy road. There was a small creek there, with a shovel laying in the mud beside it, partially buried. We were really nervous when we saw that.
We stayed close together and kept looking over our shoulders. But we found nothing else. Those were the days before cell phones were popular, and if you were stranded, you were stranded.
