Somehow, some group of people have perpetrated the rather arbitrary myth that inner labia are "supposed" to look a certain way. (That this new standard lines up with how a pre-pubescent girl's vagina looks is more than a little creepy and insidious, IMHO.) This myth has caught on so much that women are insecure enough (about a piece of anatomy that few people ever see, btw) to get SURGERY! Go under the knife, full anesthetic and all the risks that entails. We have bought into this myth so entirely that we are willing to CUT OURSELVES IN A VERY DELICATE PLACE to achieve some standard that until recently didn't exist, and has no basis in anything other than a rather arbitrary aesthetic preference. It's becoming a codified standard and, IMHO, dangerous to women's health and self-esteem. Don't buy into it! And certainly don't spend your money paying to go under the knife to "fix" something that's not wrong.
