The xbox 1 makes a great media centre with xbmc.
Using the xbox 360 as a media centre is also looking quite promising with the latest hypervisor exploits discovered. Not possible yet but at least an open door has been found. Give it 6-12 months and i reckon xbmc will be running on the 360.
I don't know much about the PS3 but haven't heard too many good things.
