I've been following this thread for a few days and I have a couple of questions and observations.
First of all, does you father have any legal way to prevent you from having the piercing done?
Secondly, how much to you value your father's good will and opinions?
If your concerns are based on your how you feel about your father's opinions, why not just wait? Is there some big rush to have this done?
The way you phrased your question leaves the idea that you either can't get it done because your father won't legally allow it or you don't want to do it and upset him. Which is it?
Personally, I have no objections to pierced belly-buttons. I find some of them quite attractive.
