This is something that has actually been on my mind. There was somebody on TV that was talking about self-medicating with alcohol and this made me think hey, maybe I am doing that with masturbation.
When you say that it takes 3-4 days to create a habit and then 7 to break the habit this is something that I see applies to my past... masturbation history, for lack of a better term.
For example, after masturbating daily for like 5 days, it occurs to me that I need to chill out. It is apparent to me that my sex drive is falling and my feelings are starting to feel more bogged down with depression, so I quit masturbating and I'm all good for like the next week and going out and talking to girls is easier and everything feels good so my thoughts are "hey, it is time for me to have a wank." Then the cycle happens all over again.
After writting this, it is apparent to me I should get laid.
