Many have the erroneous idea that to be a Sub, you hand over all control to another and lose yourself to them. In fact, the opposite becomes true in time-one gains empowerment of themselves. By allowing yourself to be free to accept, you free yourself of irrational fears, find yourself doing things you thought you couldn't do-'can't' becomes a nasty word, an unacceptable term. It might start and continue as a sexual thing, but as you know and we've discussed, it permeates your life, how one relates to other things, and becomes a factor in the paths we choose.
Had I not had the guidance of my 'maestro' in the past, I would not have gone to school, not have ever boarded an airplane, not make my cross-country adventures and not have the people and passions in my life I now have. I became empowered, gained a balance and realized the only thing that holds me back or pushes me forward..is me.
