Those look pretty cool. I wonder if Peugeot has the guts to get back into the U.S. market, though I don't really know the ins and outs of why they dropped out, just my thoughts on it.
I've always had a soft spot for a lot, but not all, of the Peugeot cars. First one I owned was a slightly used 504 Wagon, I really liked that car. At the time you could no longer buy a large enough American made station wagon and the 504 was pretty good size; it had a unique, supple ride for a station wagon that size that made it a joy to drive, and contributed to quite good handling ...it was like a well controlled ride on a cushion of air, which if I recall the suspension, was partly true. And the front seats were so comfortable, maybe the best I've ever had ...other than if you need a "grab your butt" seat like in a sports car. I liked my 504SW so much, that I bought a brand new 505 station wagon; I really liked that too, and it had what looked like some improvements over the 504; but sadly, it eventually and prematurely blew up for no reason I caused; and I recall telling the dealer in Phila "if Peugeot doesn't stand behind this kind of problem and some other annoying little things I hear are not uncommon, your days in the U.S. market are numbered" and a couple years later they pulled out of the U.S. market. I hope they try again.
