the other x-men are gone somewhere doing something important or something. don't know, yeah...

magneto has captured xavier and prepares for war against humanity. cyclops and wolverine have infiltrated genosha and are running around in the sewers. jean grey flys a bunch of interim x-men (n00bs, former alpha flight members, sunfire's cousin, + dazzler) to genosha to get xavier back. magneto blows up the blackbird. dazzler converts the clamor of the colliseum into photons to attack, magneto switches the flow of electrons and turns dazzler into a pile of ash. magneto defeats the rest of the temps easily. cyclops manages to at least hit his helmet before getting knocked down. wolverine rushes and is about to get the adamantium ripped out of him again.

...except dazzler isn't really dead! she projected a holographic image of her death (i assume) while xavier was getting rescued. xavier prevents the now helmetless magneto from using his powers. dialogue. wolverine stabs magneto through his stomach area. there's a few inches of claw sticking out of his back. he looks pretty dead now, but i suppose it is unreasonable to assume that such an important character will stay dead for long.

age of apocalypse was an alternate reality. i don't think it affected the main reality at all, except maybe explained some stuff about the x-man, cable, and stuff, which i never really understood anyway.
