Ziadel, G and A didn't pick any one cartridge over another. Their basic conclusion was that no bullet would perform with any predictability when striking brush so the best bet, no matter what your shooting, is to wait for a clearer shot.
My two deer guns are a Savage 210 Slug rifle with a 1-4 scope and a Savage in .300 WSM with a 3-9. If I asked most of the old timers around here they would tell me to buy an Ithaca 16gauge and use the bead on the front as my sight.
