If you want both value and worth, I suggest going the custom tradesman route as I did. Then you can ask for what you want, rather than ask for what they have.
Just be sure to do the usual checking out and shopping around, of course.

This is the route my wife and I decided to go for a number of reasons (difficulty in selecting something from an on-line vendor, personal feelings about diamonds in general)
