I don't think that it would have. Look, I'm not being critical, but all the scrutiny, science, and scholarship in the world, would not have had the slightest impact on a
true believer. Sure...you may pick off a few fence sitters, one way or the other...but the true believers will not be swayed one iota. And...that's fine.
