I've read Australia has some of the most deadly/venomous creatures in the world.
Here is America the spider that is most intimidating to me is the brown recluse, and it alone tops my list of reasons against moving to a southern state, and fittingly is also one of the prime benefits of living where I do.
Generally I don't mind spiders and insects. As I get older, I am minding them even less. I certainly don't enjoy torturing or killing them, and will take them outdoors or just leave them alone if at all possible.
