Well, I've never been given the exact ETA of a "freshen up" but I do remember one day when my wife was taking what I considered to be a long time getting ready, and I said "Living with you is like living in slow motion."
Now, we've all said things that seemed like they were a good idea at the time - then thought how nice it would be to undo it the exact second we were done uttering that same thing. This was one of those times.
THAT was a very long day.
Now I just say "yes, whenever you're ready," then I take a nap.
