Hey guys - guess what? I made it to Chem Lecture 2.... and I have more questions!
Rate of reaction stuff:
equation is H2 + I2 -> 2HI
If rate of disappearance of I2 is .0037mol L-1 s-1, what is the rate of formation of HI?
I think it's -1/2 * (-.0037), but the book says -2*(-.0037). ????? Am I crazy? Doesn't half as much HI get made as I2? Or is is that twice as much gets made? I'm confused as to which logic path to follow.
