What happens when the 3 days is over? It sounds as though you may have a hot date, or a Saturday at a pool party and you wanting to look a little more shredded that day? THats one direction, but if your hoping to keep whatever stride you make in three days doesnt it make sense that when you go back to your routine of norm it will be business as usual.

When you starve yourself the first thing to go is simple carbs, then complex, then protein, then fat, and finally you own body tissues. In three days it wouldnt get that far, but within 8 hours youd throw your body into a catabolic state when you probably want it in an anabolic state.

When you starve yourself your doing all various things to work against your goals; that is if your goal is to have an asthetically low fat percentage; while providing your lean mass enough fuel, as well as your natural hormones: insulin, growth hormone, testosterone, estrogen (an unfortunate need for testosterone), IGF-1 to flourish.

Have you ever seen someone that is technically skinny, but still looks flabby? Weight wise; a person like this is skinny, but they still have a high fat percentage. When you starve your body; it does what it has genetically evolved to do; survive. Instead of burning fat like we want it to, it holds on to fat because it thinks its going to have to store as much as possible to survive. This is why eating 2 to 3 meals a day can be counterproductive. Sumo wrestlers do intake alot of calories, but they only eat 1 to 2 times a day very large meals. This is done intentionally.

You may want to consider something you can do for the rest of your life, and be good to go year round. One approach us determining your proper caloric intake, and spreading that over 5 meals with number 6 being straight protein before bedtime.

Do you cardio first thing in the am before breakfast when you have very low percentage of carb ration. Without simple and very little complex carbs to utilize, the next substrate on the list is fat. Thats exactly what we want to use as fuel, you burn fat you; lower your fat percentage. (This workout sucks though, you really have to power through it.)

This is only one approach of many, Ive never seen anyone have bad results from the above program.

Good luck
