I was probably 9 or 10 when I found my dad's books of Penthouse Letters in his nightstand. Then when I was 11-12 I discovered my mother's boxes of romance novels. Between the two of these sources, my porn needs were satisfied as an adolescent. Occasionally there were magazines with pictures, but generally I've always preferred erotica.
With the rise of the Internet, and my knowledge of computers being superior than my father's, I discovered erotica on the Web. When we first had the Internet, they would download onto the computer as a temporary text file when my father browsed sites. So I would search for these .txt files, hide them in a folder of my own, and enjoy them at my own leisure.
My dad has an enormous collection of porn. My brother always used to get into my dad's DVDs. He finally got busted for it, though. Dad said, "Stop going into my closet." Brother said, "Oh, I was just getting some socks." Dad said, "There are no socks on the top shelf."
So you could say I was between both, the old and the new, in discovering porn. I think today's teens aren't really missing out on anything. I know the variety of internet porn was certainly a surprise when I first found it.
