This Poll represents everything I despise about political dialogue. All of the questions are presented with a false assumption about the answers. For example they are either this -or- that. It's all presented in some
false dichotomy.
From the very first question this test presents you with these poor choices:
Quote:
1. Generally, do you tend to trust or distrust government's ability to solve problems?
Trust
Distrust

Where are Choices: "I neither trust nor distrust the government" or "Depends on who's running it"? In fact, I could point out that many, many Right leaning people were highly distrustful of the government when Clinton was in office. These same individuals are the same ones who are currently preaching that people like me should have a
paternalistic trust of the government.

2. Which do you trust more:
The Pentagon or
The U.S. Postal Service?
|
Trust to do what?
Both organizations have completely different functions. Would I trust the Pentagon to deliver mail or the Post Office to plan a war? The question as it stands
is meaningless. Nevertheless I "get" the implication -that "hippies" don't like the pentagon or that "rednecks" object to the unfair market dominence of the postal service.

3. What about private institutions and people? Which do you trust more?
