I lived in Texas at the time this happened, and was stationed at the USMC Reserve unit in Waco during the raid. At that time, I know for a fact that the legal age of consent for marriage, AND sex was 17. This was because a friend of mine had gotten a 16 year old girl pregnant, and he was sucessfully charged with statutory rape in 1992. Even then, my hilighted text shows that your own selected source showed that Koresh was having sex with girls as young as 12...AND getting them pregnant....therfore he was in violation of the law, plain and simple. Regardless of law, ANYONE who thinks it is right to have sex with a 12 year old is a sick SOB who deserves nothing less that prison time! Let Koresh burn in Hell for what he did. He got what he deserved.
