Lamisil is the stuff my doc prescribed. It is available over the counter. Also, she suggested everything gonadman mentioned but also that I it would help if I switched to boxers. Took about two days for the Lamisil to make a difference and about a week for a signs to dissappear. I used it as directed by my doctor for two weeks total. Also, I had had athlete's foot before that. If it happened again I'd just do the same. If it didn't go away in about a week I'd definetaly get it checked out though.
