My cool little WWII story
Well here is how the story goes:
My dads friend was digging through and old trailer house about 4 years ago that was gonna be burned and in the floorboard he found this scrapbook. Well he showed my dad and I this scrapbook and it was made by a wife of a WWII veteran. The really cool thing is that it was a Japanese-American. (Keep in mind most people from the WWII era despised of Japanese people since we where with war with them and all) Well me and my dad where flipping through and it contain this guys college pictures, wedding pictures, a magazine from WWII era, several WWII propaganda, letter and shit and all sorts of WWII pictures. This just amazed me, it was like a timeline and it had all sorts of writing from this guys wife...beautiful sayings that just wowed me. Well my dad figured it should belong to the family so we looked up the guys last name and found about 9 listings. So we called one which turned out to be the guys niece and the old guy is still alive today!. We told the family the whole story and we figure the scrapbook hasn't been seen since the late 40's and the family was all excited, especially cause within the next month they had family reunion. My dad, my dad's friend and I where so happy. The nearest family member (his son) lived only an hour away and my dad told the guys niece that he wouldn't trust it in th mail by any means since it's so priceless so my dad is gonna deliver it person to this guys son. It's such a cool story that I just had to share it with you.
