I haven't bought a tent in a while but I always found Eureka to have no frills high quality products at reasonable prices. Check them out at Campmor.
My wife and I usually prefer the 3 person, because there's plenty of room for 2 to sleep and being some gear inside.
Also to consider: Are you always going to be moving point to point, or are you going to set up a camp somewhere and use it as a base for exploring? If you're making a base camp you may want to carry a tarp, and set that up as a rain shelter, and you can stash stuff under there. Also carry waterproof covers for your packs if possible. I have a Gregory with a waterproof cover; I have left it out all night in driving rain and wind with no wetness inside in the morning.
Good luck and enjoy your trip!
