I personally don't think Williams could have handled the evil insane part of the joker. He has played a psycho before, like in One Hour Photo and Insomnia, but it was always subdued madness, never the over, sinister, and violent madness. Adrian Brody would be a question mark. His role in the Village sucked, hard, but he was good in the Pianist (though that role is basically the opposite of the Joker). I dunno.
