Small update.
Got irritated that I couldn't connect to the network, so I decided (probably foolishly) that restarting from factory specs was the best way to go. So, I've got a fresh laptop that still doesn't connect to the internet. Bah. I'm now trying to update some firmware or something... just surfing the linksys website and seeing if anyone there has the same problems as I do.
If anyone else is having a similar problem (though I've never heard of this before, heh...) I'll post a solution if I find one.
