For some reason, my new Dell Inspiron 640m has decided that the wireless network at my place just doesn't cut it. When it was brand new, it would connect fine. Now, it will connect automatically sometimes, ignore the network entirely other times, and at all times will not transfer any data. The reasons why this is odd are twofold: I didn't make any changes when it suddenly adopted this attitude, and it will connect to and use any other wireless network (I can connect to my university's network flawlessly, as well as at work and other people's places). The connection icon in my taskbar will sometimes display that it's connected with limited or no connectivity, will sometimes display that it's not connected, and will sometimes display a connection to my network is up and running (but trying to open a browser is always met with immediate 404s). Under the connection properties, when the connection is active, it does display that there are packets inbound and outbound. Lies!

Can anyone shed any light as to why this is happening?

At home, I use a Linksys router. I don't know if that means anything, because it used to work just fine. There are a number of other machines that use my network, and all connect with no problems. (They include a desktop with a wired connection to the router, two other laptops connecting wirelessly, an Xbox 360, and a Nintendo Wii).
