I recently came across an excellent and free (
both as in speech and as in beer) netlabel called the
Kahvi Collective. Almost all their releases are in OGG format and licensed under Creative Commons, which is pretty awesome. In fact, I liked it so much that I subscribed to their RSS feed and also downloaded their entire ~7GB FTP server!
I'm sure there have to be more sites like this out there, and maybe there are even some that have something other than electronic music. Does anyone here know of any other free (as in beer) netlabels? What do you recommend? I'm mainly looking for electronic music, as I find I have a greater tolerance for the quality of free electronic music as opposed to that of other types, but if you know of netlabels that provide other genres, I'd still be interested in checking them out.
