Eheim: I am unashamadly an Eheim fanboy, all the filters in my house are theirs (including some big boy ones), they're undestructable (unless you actually really decide to be an idiot, like me on occasion) and generally just rule.
Besides, their filter media is stupidly kick ass, the old efisubstrat had 500m2 surface area in 1litre, that means in one tray of my filter, i have 1000m2 of surface area, and in the tray above, which is the new stuff, theres even more! *grinning like an idiot*
