My parents have always been in denial that I ever had a sex life (well, still do, but I don't live with them anymore). When I was dating my husband, I used to spend every weekend at his mom's house. We would sleep upstairs in the spare room, while his mom was downstairs. My parents couldn't understand why we needed a bigger blanket (his was only a twin size). I have never felt comfortable talking to my parents about sex, and therefore, they don't know when I lost my virginity. I have also never had sex with them in the house. My mother-in-law, on the other hand, has a very open mind. I am sure she knows that we had sex upstairs while living there for a year after we got married. I do not openly discuss it with her, but I am sure she knows.
