I had a great time... the only complaint is that I'm a people person and I didn't have much interaction with the locals. I wouldn't say they were snobs, just different then the type I usually deal with traveling in more western Europe, Canada, and the US. I usually like to go to the local pub and talk to people... that wasn't really happening in Greece. I thought it might have been because I was an obvious tourist (blond and blue) but I observed the same quiet attitude toward fellow Greeks so I assume it's cultural difference.
I was there for two weeks, went to Rhodes, Santorini, Athens, Napflio. My favorite was Santorini. It was really cheap because I had time share and used my miles for my flight... I think the total trip cost $1500 USD all included. If I had to do it again I can't say I would have changed it much, so yes it was worth it. The food and wine were wonderful, the music didn't do much for me... my favorite moment was meet Olympiakos (the soccer team) after their game in my hotel and having a few beers with some of the players. They wanted to know about BASEBALL!!! LOL!
Thanks 2 everybody who posted in this thread.
