Actually, vision loss for several seconds after standing up is relatively normal. It's caused by a temporary decrease in blood pressure, which is caused by the change in your body position. It's called a head rush, and is not uncommon or dangerous.

However, if it happens to your that frequently, you may have what is known as Postural/Orthostatic (both terms) Hypotension.
