Sometimes when I yawn I go blind for a few seconds.
Title says most of it. It sometimes happens when I stand up (from sitting), too. Happens infrequently, sometimes multiple times a day, other times not for a week. I've had this at least since I was 13, maybe before that (I'm 27 now)
It's like a rushing sensation in my head, and my sight turns black, except for a small spot in the center of my vision, which turns kind of foggy. But it's a small spot. Also, I kind of lose control over my legs, I can still stand but it feels really weird when I try to walk. Kind of like extreme dizziness for 4-8 seconds.
Any ideas on what this is? I think it might be vertigo, but I don't feel sick/nauseous, and my sight turns black, not fuzzy.
The reason I haven't seen a doctor is because I've had it for a long long time, and I just kind of forgot about it. Frankly, I've become so used to it, I don't really care about treatment. I'm just curious as to what it is...unless some one suggests "Tumor!", in which case I'll promptly call a doctor.
