I've had the whole enchilada. I'm sure there isn't any deep conditioning formula that hasn't seen my scalp. I've had my hair permed several times in the last 30 years (my first when I was 4). In salons, at kitchen tables, bathrooms...my hair simply cannot take a perm without the perm damaging the holy hell out of it, and that's simply a fact.
I'm not going to lie & say it was bliss when it wasn't. I'm sure ghostgirl1 is happy with her choice, because she did some research & thought about it. If it doesn't turn out, she can see that for some people it just doesn't work, and she may think twice before putting herself through grief again.
So far, it sounds like it went well for her, and I'm happy for her. Nothing is worse for a woman than a damaged fuzzy head of hair.
