I had never watched 24 until the Christmas before the one just gone when my partner bought me series 1 on DVD.
In the last year I watched all 5 series and am a complete addict!
We just started re-watching the first series and I have to say that I think it is the best...My missus still doesn't know about the twist at the end, so am looking forward to her reaction!
Lets hope that this new series is good. I would agree that some US native terrorism would be a nice twist. I heard somewhere that President Logan is to make a return too - that would be rubbish, I didn't enjoy his character one bit in series 5...
