Simple. Invent a church and convince people that god favors your church.
My favorite is when Oral Roberts (I think this was in the 80's) told his viewers that God would kill him if they didn't collectively send him 8 million dollars .. . and it worked, he got the cash, tax free. Either God is now rolling around in a Bentley or Oral is full of crap
