I owned a 70 Olds 442 once. I've also owned a 68 Mercury Cyclone, 69 Mustang fastback, and a 62 Ford Fairlane Sport Coupe. I bought the 442 with a blown engine and had it rebuilt to be stupidly powerful. There was just no way to hook up on a hard launch. Tires are much better these days, so maybe that's not such a problem any more.
Anyway, the car I liked the best was the Mustang. If I could have a pristine 69 Mach I, I might be tempted. As it is, I'm happy to have cars with modern air conditioner and suspension. Those old cars look cool, but without enormous updating they get killed by even modest modern cars.
