At least, this is how it is intended. Is it 100% fool proof? No, nothing truly is.

If you look at the statistics, the death penalty is NOT more cost effective. In fact, studies conducted in state after state after state that practices the death penalty have determined that it costs the taxpayer millions of dollars
more per year to invest in the death penalty system of jurisprudence.
