No way man, it wasn't obvious at all!
Just spent 6 hours with a flashlight peering at both the male on the motherboard and the female on the plug, and they looked PERFECT. I eventually go it to the point where two other power supplies I had could plug in, but not the new one.
After all that time fiddling with the safety pin (excellent tool choice, btw.. couldn't figure out what to use until you mentioned it) I finally got the motherfucker to plug in.
Got windows up and running, but now it's telling me that my ethernet cord is unplugged when it is clearly not. What a damned nightmare..
