Coming from a latvian heritage, the equivalent to "cheers" in latvian is Sveiks, which when translated literally means hello; however it is interchangable with cheers.
Uz veselibu works fine though, it basically means "to your health", and when i was visiting in latvia it was often said before we had a drink.
