I have that same card except PCI-E. Sometimes I have to mess with the monitor cord or else I get "no signal" only on cold boot. I also at times see distortion from the connector getting a shotty connection. A little jiggle jaggle of the monitor cord usually fixes this. This probably isn't of any use to you but you're not the only one having to deal with messed up connectors.
